I put the seeds and fertilizer in their correct compartments. I took a look at the xml and i3D files and I found Giants made an error in the xml file so I went ahead and corrected it.

Correct compartments? Its the other way around, Seed drills generally carry much more fertilizer than seed.
If you want correct fertilizer to seed utilization, download a mod that fixes it. I forgot the name of the one I use, I consider it an important mod, with some seeders you will be refilling so often its dumb.
