The large volume trailer HTS 50.04 / 1 was built in 1982 by several KfL, including in Eilenburg, Halberstadt, Oranienburg and Lübben. The full-load trailer was intended for straw and hay harvest as well as the general Leichtgutumschlag. The loading took place by means of a straw press via the parallel chute, or from the forage harvester E 280/281. Discharging was done at the rear by means of a sliding plate, which also served as a front end wall and pushed the load to the rear during unloading. The brake system was a simple pneumatic single-line brake acting on all wheels.
